Overview
Mining City is a monumental mixed-use development that redefines the urban skyline through a powerful synergy of commerce and hospitality. Conceived as a self-sustaining architectural ecosystem, the project consists of two distinct vertical volumes—a dedicated corporate office tower and a premium aparthotel. These two towers engage in a dynamic visual dialogue, united by a structural and programmatic base that fundamentally transforms the ground-level urban experience.

The Elevated Podium & The Green Oasis
The two towers are physically anchored and functionally connected by an elevated horizontal podium (socle). This shared volume acts as the beating heart of the complex, housing a curated suite of premium amenities designed to serve both corporate tenants and hotel guests, including a state-of-the-art auditorium, a conference center, and a swimming pool.
Above, the roof of this podium serves as a sprawling, accessible landscaped garden. By elevating this green space, the design creates a secure, elevated oasis that fosters cross-pollination between residents and professionals while offering panoramic views of the city.

For this project, we explored the option of splitting the original building in two to create two buildings with different uses. The offices and aparthotels are housed in two separate buildings.

We drew inspiration from bismuth, a mineral stone, with its central stepped, sloping spaces, for the design of these towers. For the top floors of both buildings, we created a series of corner staircases, allowing these apartments to have accessible terraces and enjoy beautiful views. The roof of the base, at the first level, also serves as an accessible terrace, which the users of this project will be able to enjoy.
On the first level is a base that connects the two buildings. This base has been raised above the ground floor and is therefore at level 01. It includes all the common areas such as the lobby, conference rooms, etc.
